  8. THIS PATCH IS FOR THE OLX V1.5x THAT IS SOLD AS A STAND-ALONE PRODUCT AND
  9. WILL NOT WORK ON OLX THAT WAS INCLUDED WITH QMODEMPRO.

  12. The update program consists of two parts, the executable patch 
  13. program (PATCH.EXE) and the patch data file (OLX152.RTP). The patch
  14. data file contains all the information needed to make changes in 
  15. the old executable files and to track the application of patches,
  16. even after multiple updates have been performed.
  17.  
  18. To perform the update follow these simple instructions:
  19.  
  20. 1.  Copy the two update files PATCH.EXE and OLX152.RTP to the directory
  21.     containing your OLX executable files.
  22.  
  23. 2.  Check to make sure that the directory contains OLX.EXE OLX.OVR,
  24.     OLX.HLP and OLX.LNG.  If any of these files are missing the patch
  25.     program will not run.
  26.  
  27. 3.  Change to the OLX directory and type
  28.  
  29.       PATCH OLX152.RTP
  30.  
  31.       and press <ENTER>.

  33. 4.  A successful patch process results in a screen
  34.     indicating that files were successfully patched:

  56. Should you experience a problem is applying the patch please perform the
  57. following steps before contacting technical support.

  59. 1. Reinstall OLX from your original disks into a new temporary
  60.    directory.
  61.  
  62. 2. Perform the patch process as described above on the OLX files in
  63.    the new temporary directory.
  64.  
  65. 3. If the patch is successful copy the patched files OLX.EXE, OLX.OVR,
  66.    OLX.HLP and OLX.LNG from the temporary directory to your OLX
  67.    directory.

  69.    If the patch is still not successful contact technical support at
  70.    805-873-2550 to resolve the situation.

  75. This file contains documentation of changes made in OLX since the manual
  76. was printed.  It also includes reference to minor fixes implemented with
  77. OLX v3.10, 3.02 and 3.01.  Note that the current version number of OLX
  78. is now v1.52 to match its sister product, QmodemPro.  Version 1.52 is
  79. actually newer that all v3.x releases!
